Some people have suggested this might mean that the VOXac30cc2 Tubes need replacing? Considering how bloody hard it is to get to the tubes, I don't want to do that unless it is definitely the answer. Again ,these pedals do not cause other amps to make this sound. This second generation AC30/4 had two channels with two inputs, hence the 4 in the model name, and a single tone control, and was powered by a quartet of. If you use a seperate DI box you use the mic or line input, not the instr input. If you plug your guitar directly into the interface you need to select the Instr/Hi Z option. In this case there should be a button to switch between the two, often marked Hi Z.
I noticed the VOXac30cc2 also makes this same noise when I run my dod 250 gold reissue pedal, and also my TS808 tubescreamer. The inputs on some audio interfaces are often marked as Line/Instr.
The same pedal played through 3 different amps does not do this, only the Vox ac30cc2 makes the noise. It happens at all volumes, but not on every note. The issue I have with the amp now, is that when I turn on my Hot Cake, the speaker gets this weird crackly/spurty noise (not the overdrive you'd expect, which also occurs and is fine, but an extra little unpleasant sizzly/crackle on top of that). It seems a weird design choice that the link would cause Normal channel to be completely silent if flipped the wrong way. Perhaps the most iconic amplifier in VOX’s pedigree, the AC30 earned its place in history as the amplifier that powered the British Invasion. that sounds about right for what I'm experiencing. Capable of both enchanting clean and raucous overdriven sounds, the signature chime of the AC30 Custom pairs seamlessly the intricacies of your playing style, resulting in a sound that is truly your own. I think trying to footswitch the Top Boost, could get real complicated. I think the Custom selector reduces the fall in mids that occurs with high bass setting (typical of the AC30).OK cool thanks for confirming that Pedro. Just make sure it has a TRS (stereo) plug, and it will work. But it´s assumed that the inactive channel has the volume reduced at minimum to avoid the added noise. (*) There is a small crosstalk between both channels when they are assigned independently.
With link ON: connecting on the bright input, both channels sound at the same time.Ĭonnecting in the normal input: does not sound. With link Off: each channel is assigned to its own input independently *.
